Fire-resistant cable
The “history” of RVS cables is quite rich, mainly focusing on the following aspects:
🛡️ Fire safety system (core): RVS is the backbone of the fire alarm system. Used to connect devices such as fire detectors and manual fire alarm buttons, it is also known as a “fire line”. In fire engineering, RVS cables with flame retardant (ZR -), fire-resistant (NH -), or low smoke halogen-free (WDZ -) markings are usually selected to meet fire safety regulations.
🔊 Broadcast audio system: Due to its softness and low cost, it is also commonly used to connect amplifiers and audio equipment, or for public broadcasting systems to meet basic audio signal transmission needs.
🔌 Household appliances and lighting: often used as internal connection wires for small power tools, instruments, water dispensers, and other household appliances, or as power cords for power lighting.
🏢 Security communication system: In some indoor environments with low interference requirements, RVS is also used for signal transmission or telephone line wiring in building intercom and security monitoring.
